What you can verify: the business is ACRA-registered, the advisory takes no commissions from anyone recommended, and there are no affiliate links anywhere on this site.
No hotel, tour operator, restaurant or attraction pays to appear here, and none pays me when you book. Every recommendation across 340+ guides exists because I'd give it to a friend — including the ones that say "skip it," which sponsored sites cannot write. When I recommend my own paid services, I say so plainly on the page.
Every guide is written from lived local knowledge, checked against official sources — ICA, MOM, LTA, NEA, STB and the venues themselves — and dated. Prices carry a "verify before you rely on it" discipline because Singapore moves fast; when something changes, the guide gets updated or corrected, not quietly deleted. Facts I can't stand behind don't get published, and folklore is labelled as folklore.
Every "Worth It / Skip It" call on this site — including the Honest Singapore Index — follows the same four tests: (1) Have I done it recently myself? Answers expire; Singapore renovates relentlessly. (2) What do your limited hours buy elsewhere? Every attraction is priced against its alternative, not against zero. (3) Would I send my own visiting family? The test that ends most debates. (4) Does anyone pay me if you go? The answer is structurally no — which is why the first three tests can run honestly. When an answer changes between editions, the page says so; pretending to have always been right is how guidebooks die.

This site carries no affiliate links, no sponsored placements and no referral fees — not for hotels, tours, eSIMs, insurance, booking platforms or anything else. That is unusual for a travel site, and it is checkable: search the source of any page here and you will find no tracking parameters or partner tags. It also costs real money, which is the point — commission income is precisely what makes most travel recommendations untrustworthy, and the services in the Shop exist so the advice never has to be paid for by anyone but the reader. If this ever changes for a specific link, it will be labelled inline at that link, not buried in a policy page.
