Changi Layover Plans · From SGD 60

You have 7 hours in Singapore. A local can make them count.

You've googled it. Half the internet says "definitely leave the airport," the other half says "you'll miss your flight." Both are right — it depends entirely on your exact hours, your terminal, and the time of day. That's what I work out for you.

I'm a Singapore local with 40 years here. Send me your flight times, and within 24 hours you get a written plan for your layover: whether leaving the airport is genuinely worth it for your window, the one right route instead of ten options, exactly when to be back at your gate, and what to eat along the way. If your window's too tight for the city, I'll tell you straight — and plan you the best airside hours at Changi and Jewel instead.

The honest rule of thumb: under 5 hours between landing and departure, stay in the airport (Jewel is world-class anyway). Over 6, the city is yours — if the route is right. In between is exactly where a local's judgment earns its keep.
