The honest rule of thumb: under 5 hours between landing and departure, stay in the airport — Jewel is world-class anyway. Over 6 hours, the city is yours if the route is right. In between is exactly where a local's judgment earns its keep, and that assessment is the first thing every plan answers.
How far in advance do I need to book a layover plan?
